The location of the Mayflower Renaissance is perfect if you are in town for business on K-Street or if you are looking for a good stay close to the White House and the Mall (easy walking distance to most DC attractions). While the price is high, this is a great location from which to base your trip/ meeting planning.
On arrival we were greeted by a formal greeter in addition to check-in staff, then offered a complimentary glass of champagne - a top notch touch service-wise. This high level of service continued through to our dining and lounging in the bar, as well as for assistance with a few matters while we were onsite. Exemplary service by a very attentive (and well-trained) staff!
A few comments/ tips to offer to visitors. Arrival is on a very busy street, and may present a challenge if you have alot of bags to load/ unload (particularly at rush hour). Parking is off on a side-street next to the hotel (not part of the hotel), and was north of $22 for the night. However, the DC Metro is very clean and easy to use, and the hotel is only one block north of the Farragut North metro stop.More
