This was my second stay at the Mayflower Hotel and it was definitely a great visit. The first room I checked into was tiny and musty but the front desk immediately moved me when I requested it (wish I had noted the room number for a room review). The second room was much improved and had a view of Connecticut Ave - this was nice except for the street construction that started somewhere between 4:00 and 5:30 most mornings.
The restaurant and bar had recently undergone renovation. While it looked great - several booths, cozy atmosphere - and the food was decent, the service was another story. I'm not sure if they were understaffed or undertrained, but the service was very slow and inattentive. The incredible front desk service saved the overall rating.
This is a beautiful hotel in an incredible location. Overall, it's worth it!More
