I booked this hotel on the back of positive reviews. The hotel itself is absolutely stunning, an historic hotel in DC and completely different to the chain hotels.
On arrival the service was terrible, rude staff- gave no information about the hotel (where the restuarant is/times/amenities/ etc). My room was in the basement looking at the internal courtyard which meant for privacy I had to keep my blackout curtains pulled down which meant the room was always dark. In the evenings diners from the restuarant sit out in the courtyard and make noise (as they would obviously do) which meant for a non-peaceful sleep.
On check-out I found out there was a gym and other facilities to use. I felt like due to the bad service I didn't get as much out of this hotel I could have done.More
