We stayed at this Hyatt in order to attend the "9-12 March on Washington". It is close to the Capitol and Union Station. Due to my Diamond status, we were upgraded to the Regency Club floor. Our room was a basic room (king bed, one tv, desk, bathroom with shower/tub combo) and was fine. The great part, though, was the Regency Club. The continental breakfast was very good and the evening snacks were enough for our dinner. There were 4 different "entrees" including beef, chicken, fish, Asian dumplings, etc., etc. There was always cheese, crackers and fresh vegetables, too. My husband is on a very low calorie/high protein weight loss diet and even he was able to find the right foods to eat. Dessert was served at 8:30 PM and would disappear quickly. It wasn't always that good, but it was free and satisfied my sweet tooth. Like all US Regency Clubs, the alcohol cost money but it was a self-serve bar so people were able to make their drinks as strong as they wanted. All in all, it was a great stay for $159 per night on Hyatt.com.

I stayed at this hotel with my boyfriend for a weekend of sightseeing in DC. The location was good - right on capitol hill and easy walking to major landmarks, but the hotel wasn't the greatest. We got a good rate so I got what I paid for, but the room was tiny, the pool was dirty, and the fitness center was freezing. There was no mini fridge in our room either, you had to request one and pay extra for it. Not too many good dining options nearby either - but we were so tired after walking around all day that was ok.

We booked this on priceline and got the room for $40.00!!! What an incredible bargin. The hotel was extremely clean. And we were able to park 1/2 block away in a parking garage for 12.00 a day. On the weekend we were able to park on the street for free. It was an easy walk to Union Square and the Mall. We were very close to a Starbucks and a deli/bar across the street. I would highly recommend this hotel.

My husband and I stayed here for a week in August-Sept. Staff here was professional but friendly, food was very good. Loved the suite, great bed, nice furnishings, quiet and clean. Big bathtub for soaking, nice bath products.
Ali made our stay very special. We are still telling all our friends about the service and warm hospitality we received. Didn't know DC was such a fun exciting place to visit. Everything in town is over-the-top and most sites were free. We would come back in a second and stay at the Hyatt Regency again.

We stayed last Labor Day weekend (from Friday to Tuesday). Two adults and a 3 months baby. The hotel has a nice functional open lobby but you have to take the escalator to reach it from the street or the disable entrance in case you are in a wheelchair or using a stroller. Although the check-in time was after 3 pm we arrived at 2 pm and in less than 5 minutes we were in our room. Staying with a baby we asked to change our already assigned street facing room to a rear facing one mostly due to the fire station located in front of the hotel. Our request for a crib made thru Hotels.com wasn't received so we asked for one, which was delivered 10 minutes after we were in the room (take your own crib sheet because they don't have). They offered us a small fridge to keep baby food fresh. There weren't extra charges or hidden charges for those extras. The room was clean and spacious enough. The mattress was too puffy. All hotel staff was extremelly kind and willing to fulfill our requests at all times. The location is very good, very close to Capitol and Union Station, although there aren't good services nearby (restaurants, pharmacies or supermarkets). Plenty of taxis all day long parked in the front of the hotel. The neighborhood is quiet but not very nice specially if you head north over I-395 in the evenings where you can find lots of homeless people wandering. I would recomend this hotel.

A decent but expensive hotel located just a couple of blocks from Capitol Hill. I stayed here while attending the Army's annual AUSA Conference at the DC Convention Center. Check in was fine - efficient if not the most friendly experience in my life. One thing that was strange was the fact that they never gave me any information confirming my room rate. My 2 double bed room was average sized with nice trendy furniture. Unfortunately, the carpet and wallpaper are a little dated, somewhat dingy and need replacing. The gym is above average for a hotel gym and they have a small indoor pool. Like many full service hotels in DC, this place is pricey. Expect to pay $20+ for breakfast, $10 per day for internet, $2.50 for a soda, etc. Service is at best average for a hotel in this class. My colleagues and I had some drinks in the lobby bar, but there were glasses every where as the staff had not bussed any of the tables. I also had to stand in line forever while trying to buy a small item in the hotel shop. I passed on the $20 hotel breakfast and went to the Starbucks next door instead. There are a couple of restaurants within walking distance but not many. Overall this hotel is fine but nothing exceptional.
