“Enjoyable Stay in Hyatt”
Reviewed October 1, 2012

We spent Memorial Weekend in The Hyatt at a great discounted price. I loved the big and bright room with 2 double, comfortable beds and a large bathroom. However, the hotel was crowded that weekend and the noise at 3am was very frustrating when trying to sleep and no one seemed to keep the noisy revellers in check. Otherwise a nice experience for my first ever trip to DC

wonderful hotel - very attentive staff. The breakfast buffet is wonderful. Kept me full all day of sightseeing. Comfy beds, perfect location. Great place for business or leisure. Hotel is undergiong renovations in guest rooms, but were very accomodating. I asked for upgrade but received full breakfast buffet and cocktail rather than room upgrade. Fun hotel.

Room Tip: Hotel undergoing renovations

This is great hotel which I had booked using Price Line - bidding that is already done for you, so we got on 2 double beds room with huge bathroom for $ 80.00 on Saturday night . The location of the hotel is the best, there is parking - Valet for $ 45.00 which was great, our car was right there, so whenever we needed something - like bikes - we just went down and got it.
The lobby and restaurants are very impressive, all is nice and clean, the beds were super comfy, lots of towells available, but the best was the location - walking distance to Capitol, Union station , museums, and the open top tour bus and trolley stop right in front of thehotel .

for a clean room, comfortable bed and attentive staff. We spent 3 nights early September and due to construction noise at the back of the hotel which awakened us at 7:58am we needed a room change. That was no problem and the rest of our stay was quiet. The location is good but little restaurant choices in the immediate area. We parked our car at the Union Station a few blocks away for $25/day instead of the $45 at the hotel. The metro station is easy and accessable. GREAT breakfast buffet which is served until 11:30am- kept us fueled for most of the day and was included in our special package room rate. Fitness area is better than most hotels. Neighborhood is safe.

Room Tip: 6th floor, front of hotel

This hotel is perfect for business. Its so close to the hill so if part of your event is happening there this is the perfect location. They are currently renovating the rooms but even the un-renovated rooms are still fine. Greta restaurant in the hotel and also restaurants within walking distance.

Took my son on a bike riding adventure to DC and stayed here at the Hyatt Capitol Hill. Had stayed previously for business and it is a typical large big city hotel. We enjoyed the close proximity to the attractions and was able to ride our bikes to see the Nationals play (less than 3 miles). The rooms are nice and beds are comfortable. Could use a bit of updating but not bad. Did not eat here but had a great breakfast buffet at 14K at the Crowne Plaza. The pool was decent and the gym looked nice.

Oddly, the staff was slightly disappointing. Not the friendliest at check-in, did not realize I was a Platinum member when I asked for a late checkout and the bellmen did not help with pointing me in a good bike route for Nationals Park. Also, had some issues with sleep as a large convention must have broken up at 2:30 and the halls were loud and finally had to call security. Can't really blame the hotel though.

Probably would try a different hotel the next visit.

I stayed 2 nights, arrived after midnight and left the following evening.
The hotel is huge and great for capitol hill.
The check in staff were especially nice.

I put my DND sign out only to be woken slightly before 8am by the cleaning staff who were oblivious to the sign and told me i need to move rooms because of the construction issue. I had been told I would nee to move on check in but told them after 11am.
Now awake, I went to breakfast. the buffet at $21++ is reasonable value but there is no area for juices. There is an omellete bar which was good.

I moved rooms and tried to catch some sleep with the DND sign out - disturbed and woken again ... Elliott Spitzer never stayed here, would have been interrupted!

I did note the DC special service on my floor ... perhaps i was being spied on.
