We spent 2 days in this hotel in June 2014. We really loved the room; it was spacious, comfortable, nicely decorated and well furnished. The beds were fantastic and the bathroom was also very nice. Staff was very friendly and the location is just great, near the White House and the National Mall, restaurants, bars and shops.

Pretty much everything was fantastic about this hotel, I would really recommend it!

Two comments though: the breakfast was quite expensive and not tasty at all, it was actually slightly disgusting. Secondly, there was no free wifi in the rooms. That is really a dinosaur age lack of service.

Great hotel, definitely worth a visit!

Stayed with my son at the hotel to explore DC:

1 - Extremely convenient location to all sites.
2 - Right on top of the Metro Center station.
3 - Very accommodating and helpful staff.
4 - Nice, clean rooms, very nice beds.
5 - Quiet - even though the ice and soda machines were on the other side of the wall.
6 - The price of the restaurant (though there is a Starbucks inside) and, I notice, the price of parking is high. Still, there are plenty of places to eat in the area.
7 - The other slight negative is that since the hotel is surrounded, there are no great views.

Finally, if you have advance time, there are good deals on the travel sites.

I would definitely stay here again.

Good choice if you're looking for convenience and value.
Hard to beat having the Metro Center step just outside.
Also close walk to the White House, Smithsonians and Mall.

Hotel rooms are average, not overly impressive.
Frequently had to wait a few minutes for elevators, they could use more considering the number of rooms.

This was a nice hotel a short walk from the White House and other DC attractions. They were helpful when asked anything and the concierges were very good. There is a free washer and dryer in the gym a great help when you are away for a while and need to freshen a few things up.

My son and I just stayed at the Marriott at Metro Center during our Washington vacation. The hotel was clean, well-run, and couldn't have been more convenient as we were depending on the Metro and walking to see the historic sites and museums. The staff was very knowledgeable and friendly, and having a nice restaurant and a Starbucks in the lobby was a HUGE plus. We will definitely stay there again when we are in DC. To get to a huge Metro hub, take about 20 steps out of the front door of the hotel and you're there. The hotel is also within easy walking distance of the White House, Ford's Theater, and other major DC attractions. Free wi-fi would have made it perfect!

Clean room, nice location & close to the Mall & other attractions. Good amount of towels on the room, nice bed & with a Starbuck below. Has a Metro terminal nearby. Price for room is adequate. I will recommend it to my friends. Better than expected.

All the basics were right (clean, quiet room, good service). Although the room interior was a little tired. Internet wasn't free unfortunately. Hotel staff were efficient with sorting out billing queries.

Conveniently located at Metro Center and within walking distance to the White House and Chinatown. Hotel geared for business travellers.
