What a wonderful surprise! I usually go for more traditional hotels but I thoroughly enjoyed this one. The staff was very attentive and amicable from the bellman, to the doorman, to the front desk staff, to the housekeeping crew. The three rooms we booked were all wonderful. Very modern with a very chic decor. The bathrooms are glass enclosures. The double bed rooms had a window on the bathroom, the king size bed room did not. All the bath products were very good. The hotel is located right at Dupont Circle. I knew that this was an upscale area but I did not know that there was so much activity around. You can go down at midnight and the streets are still filled with people! The hotel has a bar that is like a glass cube overlooking the Circle. It is always very busy. We were never able to get a table because it fills up fast at 5pm. But we did enjoy having a party downstairs in case we felt like stopping for a night cap. My only complaint is the hotel restaurant. The space is beautiful so we had dinner there the first night. We found food to be nothing to write home about with a somehow limited offering and the service was slooow! But there are many, many restaurants nearby. Better cross the street and go to Kramerbooks Cafe. It is open almost 24 hours and the breakfasts were amazing. All in all I highly recommend this hotel. Just have your meals outside.

This "boutique" hotel is in a perfect location in DC. Let me repeat that-this hotel is in a perfect location in DC. It is very close to the Dupont Circle Metro, near many restaurants and bars and very close to Connecticut and New Hampshire avenues. There is a starbucks and various other coffee/eating locales across the street. The rooms are perfect. Bit small, but quaint and curious. The complimentary shower products are very, very good quality. But the highlight for me is the Bar in the lobby. The Bar is sleek, shiny and modern. Always full in the afternoons. Nice crowd mix of locals and guests. An excellent collection of Single Malts (at reasonable prices) and really good food you can order. The view is of Dupont Circle with its endless passing of cars and people. Awesome view. Cafe Dupont serves up really good breakfast/lunch and dinner. A really good hotel in the middle of it all.

Room Tip: Higher floors may have less street noise.

The location of this hotel is perfect as far as getting around easily. It is within easy walking distance of a Metro station and many, many really good restaurants and attractions. If you don't know your way around Washington, you will appreciate this location. One of the Hop On / Hop Off Bus routes goes right by the hotel which is great for anyone who wants to go sightseeing in the city without driving around in a car. Parking is available at the hotel.

Our room, although not particularly spacious, was very nice as far as the decor and cleanliness. The bed was wonderfully comfortable and the bed linens were definitely top quality. The view was great, too. The staff did a good job of cleaning each day and replacing any items that we used (soap, shampoo, etc). However, we did not like the open concept bathroom area. The sink was located in such a way that it was almost part of the bedroom and the toilet and shower areas were separated only by glass walls ... very little privacy.

The hotel bar and outdoor cafe are great! After touring the city during the day, we would have dinner at one of the many neighborhood eateries, stroll the lovely streets in the area and then sit outside at the cafe having snacks and beverages until late each night enjoying the sights and sounds ... very pleasurable!

Except for the bathroom facilities, we truly loved this hotel and would probably stay there again.

We had a great stay at the Dupont Circle Hotel, and thoroughly enjoyed the hotel's easy access to the metro to get around DC and see the sights, as well as the restaurants and bars in the neighbourhood around the hotel. Dupont Circle is definitely the best spot to stay in DC...the neighbourhood is always lively, with tons of great spots to eat/drink, and is conveniently accessed by road or subway from anywhere in the city.

A couple of drawbacks of our stay were the fact that the hotel had no king bed rooms available...it was disappointing to have to share a tiny double, and the room was cramped with the two beds in it. Also, the washroom is not separated from the room and the shower/toilet area is only segregated by a frosted glass door. If one of us had to get up to use the washroom in the middle of the night, it was impossible to do so without waking the other. Finally, we were told by the concierge that a cab to Dulles would cost $60-75, and when we asked them to call us a cab, they called us a towncar. Assuming this is what they meant when they told us to expect a $60 cab ride, we went out to the airport, and it ended up costing us $100, so we were pretty annoyed that the staff misled us on that front, and decided to bring us a towncar when we clearly asked for a taxi. Otherwise, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and I would definitely consider the hotel again wen going to DC.

Room Tip: Specify the type of bed you want in advance, to avoid being stuck with a cramped two double bed room.

Spent three nites in this modern comfy hotel on DuPont Circle, located 30 min walk NW from The Mall. Using DC's great bikes makes it 15 min away!
Hot spot for young professionals. Good bar scene. Super service by all staff. Comfy bed & linens, clean contemporary design of space and furnishings.

Room Tip: Inside rooms have no view but not a negative since room was a respite after full days of sight-seeing.
