“Great Experience that Didn't Break the Bank!”
Reviewed March 22, 2010

I just returned from the One Washington Circle Hotel. I cannot stress how much of a good choice for a weekend in Washington DC this was. We were down there because of the National Marathon. We found the hotel to be wonderful. The room was HUGE. We payed for a regular room with a queen bed, the lowest price. Our room was a one bedroom apartment complete with kitchen, bath, bedroom and large living room/office space. The Foggy Bottom Metro is a 3 minute walk around the circle. The area is clean, safe, nice and accessible to everything in DC via metro.

We are so glad you enjoyed your stay at One Washington Circle Hotel. We agree that the expense of visiting our nation's capital shouldn't rival the national debit. Come see us on your next visit to D.C.

Good size rooms and a kitchenette are a plus. Surrounding area has several excellent restaurants in walking distance. Metro close by.

We stayed for 3 nights in July and really loved this hotel. The room was big and clean. I loved that the bedroom are is seperated from the living area. The toiletries where nice - Aveda products. Plenty of clean bath towels. Two bathrobes. Plenty of closet spaces. Nice tv. Wireless internet. Kitchen (can't remember if it was fully equipped). The pool was lovely. The restaurant is pretty good. Walking distance to the subway which carries youto the main tourtist sites.

My only cons are: it's near a hospital so you get awakend early by the sirens and the bathtub is small.

We stayed for two nights over Valentine's Day weekend. The staff couldn't have been friendlier and more accommodating, from booking the reservation (by phone) through the entire stay. Loved the room (#916). Was nice to watch the sunset from the private balcony. You can walk to Georgetown (Dean & DeLuca), and there's a CVS and Trader Joe's within a couple blocks, so it's easy to take advantage of the fully equipped kitchen (w/dishwasher). Metro is less than two blocks away.

I arrived in DC on 7 February 2010 - in the aftermath of snowmageddon - and stayed at this hotel for four nights. If I had been in another hotel I would have gone crazy but this hotel feels more like a block of apartments. I was in room 804 - it has a kitchenette with basic utensils and crockery and appliances (gas stove and oven, refridgerator) and these made a difference. Trader Joe's is about two blocks away so you can get the supplies you need. During the snowpocalypse (I and II) I was able to stock up on food and not have to worry about running out of food. The hotel is in a great spot - great for the orange and red lines - and it's very easy to get to the Mall and major landmarks on foot (when it's not snowing). Decor is ok but the rooms and the layout are a generous size. The set-up is user friendly. High speed internet access - no wifi - a decent enough restaurant and helpful front desk staff. Good housekeepers. They give you make-up removing and eye-make up removing towelettes, cotton wool balls, a proper hairdryer, two types of soap, shampoo, conditioner and moisturiser (having all these make a huge difference). The fitness room is one treadmill, one exercise bike, one cross trainer and some resistance machines. If you're serious about fitness and want something a bit more there's a Washington Sports Club a couple of blocks away. The area is not as chichi as you would want it to be, but the hotel is solid and unpretentious and you're close to Georgetown and Dupont.

My husband booked their "get parked" package for 4 nights which included a small room, free valet parking, 2 metro passes, and a $25 gas card for stays over 3 nights. When we arrived, our reservation seemed to be for 4 people for 1 night. I cannot say with certainty that where the glitch was - us or them, but the hotel put us up in a 1 bedroom 2 bath, full kitchen suite...SWEET...so I can only comment on our room which was really really nice. The bed was great. They have Aveda toiletries, and whole bean coffee with a coffee grinder (such a nice touch!). NIce TVs, but the cable selection was a bit stingy, although we had HBO, not much else. I prefer Comedy and Cartoon network. Staff was great - even though a bit clueless at times. They made things more than fair and more than right. We are still waiting for the gas card, but considering what a nice room we had, we are quite happy. Location is great. Short walks to Foggy Bottom metro, Georgetown, Dupont, Capitol and Logan. Yes, it's sometimes noisy - sometimes lots of sirens. I tuned it out - hey it's a city! Not too often though. Hotel is clean and housekeeping staff is also nice. We would stay there again. It is endearing in a way.

One Washington Circle is a nice hotel. It has a good location, as the Georgetown is in the walking distance from the place. Also it's possible to walk to many places and to easily reach the most Must see of DC.
The hotel staff is friendly. The rooms are spatiouse, and have all facilities needed. The free internet is availbale in every room. The hotel cleaning ladies leave some surprises after cleaning the room, like chocholate etc. The breakfast in Circle Bistro is very good, one of the best I've seen in the hotels of middle price.
The hotel makes your stay at DC more pleasant.
