A lighter environment has been created that is enhanced by the richness of Macassar Ebony tables and matching suede. A 25-foot bar greets diners with an excellent array of libations for pre- or post- dining pleasure including an oyster and shellfish raw bar.

“Great Expense Account Restaurant”
Reviewed September 29, 2012

I had the pleasure of eating at BLT for a business dinner. in summary, the steaks are world class, the service top notch, and the atmosphere is modern California and tending to "hipster". The only downside was that the with all the windows open on a warm summer night, the street traffic noises were very noticeable.

The business dinner was a success, so BLT did the job.

The Waygu beef was very, very good, but not sure it was worth 60 dollars and that much better than regular prime grade.

The popovers were loved by all and a signature dish. We liked so much that we asked for some to take home,

Dessert was also on the same excellent level.

We all left satisfied.

“Skip This BLT! Totally Disorganized!”
Reviewed September 18, 2012

I have been to MANY other BLT locations. And I have had mostly positive experiences. But this one is a complete and total disaster. First, they lost our reservation, even after it was confirmed the afternoon of our visit. Not only did my party of eight business associates (and yes I was mortally embarrassed) end up aimlessly waiting almost 45 minutes with barely a "we are sorry", but not even a complimentary ANYTHING to apologize was offered! Yes the Popovers were delicious, but the wait staff (even after the miss on our reservation) managed to mangle our orders and make very bad, even worse. Steaks were both under and over cooked, sides dishes failed to show up, and getting attention from the waiters was frustrating and wholly unacceptable. Seeing the automatic gratuity end up on our check (well over $1,000.00 (just added injury to insult). Save yourself unwanted aggravation and especially for what it costs to dine at BLT (and I do not normally complain about pricing) but when an establishment of this caliber, and they cannot get anything straight, my recommendation is to skip it. So skip this BLT!!

“There are much better steakhouses”
Reviewed September 13, 2012 via mobile

We had a mixed experience at BLT. The service was ridiculously slow and the place is overpriced. Our steaks wete all underdone to the point where my friend sent his back without wanting a replacement. They did send out a slew of very good desserts to help make up for it but I wouldn't go back. Capital Grill is a much safer choice (if you can get a reservation).

“Great Steak Place Highly Recommended”
Reviewed August 19, 2012

For those looking for a good steak place, you can't go wrong with BLT. If you like your steak really rare, you can also order it "blue". I also enjoyed their selection of raw oysters as well as the rest of the raw bar.

It is not cheap but definitely worth the splurge if you are in DC and want a nice steak place to eat out!
