Great menu selection. Do try the grilled oysters if you like oysters of course, they are excellent. For entrees our group had duck, which was great, grouper which was just terrific but the steak was dry and overdone. Good wine list and plenty of room inside and of course outside dining though we voted for inside due to the heat. Reservations needed.

I accidentally stumbled across this place walking around my hotel. Excellent Cajun/Creole menu. A little pricey but well worth it. Try the snapper over the potato pancake on a bed of grilled Vidalia onions.
Don't forget the beignets with a chicory sauce.

Eat here every year while in DC. Oysters are the best, gumbo is awesome. Service is always flawless with helpful, friendly staff all at fair prices (by DC standards). Good selection to please a group. Give it a try!

Acadiana

The food and service were near perfect. The menu was a grand tour of New Orleans and the Louisiana bayous making selection very difficult even with the expert tutelage of our waitress, Amber. The four of us shared a number of starters to much acclaim: the delicious soup sampler, a trio of exquisite and tasty fried pies, excellent roasted oysters, fabulous fried green tomato with shrimp in a remoulade sauce, and exemplary biscuits with red pepper jelly. The duck was decant perfection accompanied by fantastic collard greens. And this 70 year-old “southern boy” has never had a finer gumbo with its deep mahogany roux and broad array of seafood bliss. The beignets were as good as any I have had at that well-known cafe beside the Mississippi. And there is so much on the menu to try on future visits!

Being at a museum “in the neighborhood” the next afternoon, my wife and friend stopped by for drinks on the patio and another order of green tomatoes (and the biscuits). When they called to say where they were, I hurried in from the suburbs to join them and got a great drink and was able to clean up what was left of their orders.

But the Louisiana bayou-inspired menu will make your taste buds smile. I didn't try their raw bar, but I did love the beet salad and the short ribs.
