It's very close to the Metro -- and everything you came to see. If it were any closer to George Washington University, it would be a classroom. The neighborhood is quiet, well-kept and charming. We tried one of several nice restaurants nearby, and shopped a few paces down the block, at Whole Foods. This is a very real, very old row house, beautifully updated and clean, but still proudly showing its age. The floors are real planks. The stairs are steep, but easy enough for most people, I think. The kitchen is modern, with new appliances, and capable of more than we needed. The baths were updated and easily served five tired tourists (including two young children). All in all, it was an excellent choice for us.
