We were fortunate to enjoy an amazing meal at Rasika. We arrived a few minutes before the restaurant opened for lunch. From the moment we arrived we felt welcome, in part because of the warm greetings from the friendly hostess who kindly offered us water on a hot day. Our server was Suffyan who was outstanding. He was so helpful and professional. I would recommend the palak chaat, Dover sole, Black cod, dal makhani and date and toffee pudding.
The entire meal was exceptional.

The restaurant is located in Chinatown just north of the National Mall.

They have tables available for walk-ins though booking is preferable as you will get better seats in the main restaurant area.

We tried interesting rice lentil pancakes for starters. For the main the Raan-e-Rasika lamb dish was just divine and the Dal Makhani as a side was probably the best we have ever tasted anywhere.

There was a reasonable selection of wines on offer.

The restaurant was packed throughout our visit there.

I had lunch last week and it was very busy. The food selection was delicious and the bread took for ever. We were rushed to finish our meal that was delayed due to slow service.

Early evening Saturday dinner and the place was busy already. Between 3 hungry adults we took 3 appetizers, 3 mains, 3 veg sides and 2 desserts. Plus a couple of beers and a bottle of red you need to be ready to spend >$200. Palak Chaat was very notable as was Raan-e-Rasika. Service was very very good. Good experience all round.
