“WOW!!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 28, 2013

This is the BEST restaurant in DC. OKAY so you do not like Indian food, you still have to go here. The experience is amazing. You can order the fried spinach times three and drink their amazing drinks times three.
I really did not want to write this review because the place is so busy already.
BTW here is an inside scoop. Just go for lunch, way cheaper than dinner and it is the same menu and much easier to get a table.
Please do not let my friends know I sent you there they will kill me,,,

“Excellent Food, excellent service in a loud environment.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 27, 2013 via mobile

We had the black cod. It was tender and flavorful and exquisite. We also shared a palak chaat (the crispy spinach appetizer). Everything was wonderful. It was nice but comfortable. The only negative was the noise. Having a conversation across the table was challenging.

“Special Occasions Only”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 26, 2013

Fantastic food but the high prices make this a restaurant only to be visited for special occasions. There are plenty of Indian restaurants with good food and reasonable prices. (Bombay Curry Co., The Delhi Club)

“Not your typical Indian fare!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 25, 2013

Wandered in for a late evening dinner after a long flight and was amazed at the level of freshness and creativity. Every dish was savory and unusual.. And of course the spinach dish was as advertised inthe other reviews! Even the Indian gentleman next to me raved about the vegetarian tasting menu. Beautiful environment and very friendly and attentive wait staff. Don't missRasika if you're a foodie and looking for the unusual in DC.
