Thank you Laura and Raymond for allowing us to stay in your beautiful home in the heart of DC. Whether we were relaxing with our family and new friends in the living areas of your home (drinking good wine and snacking) or seeking the quiet and private luxury of our rooms, this was in every way a perfect stay. Laura, thanks again for your constant "concierge" assistance and guidance. I cannot recommend this B&B experience enough. Perfect location; perfect amenities; perfect service.

Room Tip: We had three different rooms. All were amazing!

This was our first trip to Washington and we enjoyed it immensely in no small part because of our wonderful stay at Embassy Circle. You've already, no doubt, read all the other wonderful reviews re the rooms, breakfasts, wine, company.... We can only endorse this and attest to the warmth, kindness and knowledge of Laura and Raymond and their staff. The restaurant recommendations, which were just a short walk away, were spot-on and, with a call from Laura a table on a busy Friday evening more available. With the Phillips Collection just around the corner and embassies all around it is a fascinating area. It's also just a short walk from DuPont Circle one way and Georgetown the other. And if you like walking cities not really too far to almost anything you want to see. Finally a big thanks indeed to Laura and Raymond for going out of their way to retrieve my phone from Arlington! We'll hopefully get back to DC sometime and if we do we will not hesitate to go back to Embassy Circle.

Room Tip: Talking to other guests it would appear difficult to make a wrong choice!

We had a lovely stay at the Embassy Circle! Laura and Raymond, the owners, were warm and welcoming. We loved hearing about Raymond's inspiring life story.

The breakfasts were excellent, with a different hot entrée every morning, and the wine, cheese, and conversation in the evenings were very enjoyable.

The hosts are very knowledgeable about DC, and were happy to share their opinions. Their restaurant recommendations were perfect, and there are several restaurants within a couple of blocks. We also appreciated their practical advice. We were being taken out to dinner one night to a place we had never been, and Laura put me at ease by letting me know what type of attire would be appropriate there --

Our room was on the top floor, very large and comfortable, and nicely appointed, as were the public rooms. The B&B is aptly named, as it is surrounded by embassies from every corner of the globe. The Phillips Collection, one of our favorite art museums, is around the corner. The DuPont Circle metro stop was quite convenient, and from there one could get almost anywhere in the city. I cannot think of anything to criticize! I look forward to our next stay...

Room Tip: The elevator is only for suitcases, so if you do not wish to climb stairs, pick a room on the ground...

We stayed for two nights over last week-end. The house is beautiful and the hosts were amazing. Laura and Raymond treated us like friends. They did everything to make us comfortable. The other guests were so interesting, we stayed up late discussing many topics. I enjoyed reading the story of Raymond's life journey.
We stayed in room 111 on the first floor.

Room Tip: Room 111 is on the first floor near the front door.

This was our 1st stay at the Embassy Circle Guest House and it won't be the last! The house is wonderful, the location is convenient, and breakfast delicious but the real find is Laura and Raymond. They are warm and gracious hosts that create the personality of the Embassy Circle Guest House and made our stay a wonderful experience.

We arrived as happy hour was starting and that set the tone for our stay. Laura and Raymond are the consummate hosts. Their passion for their guests really comes through. They wanted to make sure that you were enjoying your stay and were there for whatever you needed. They had great suggestions about places to go and when to go. The room was really lovely. The home has been wonderfully restored to a really luxurious standard. Feels like a home. Wonderful location and so nice to walk around in the beautiful neighbourhood. Definitely the place to stay in DC and we will return. Thank you to Laura and Raymond and their staff for making us feel like we were staying with friends!

My adult daughter and I just had the pleasure of staying at Embassy Circle Guest House for eight days during our trip to D.C. Laura and Raymond and their staff truly make this beautiful former embassy a delight. We stayed during Washington's heat wave and Embassy Circle was a cool, welcoming, and quiet sanctuary in beautiful and SAFE Embassy Row. We strolled back at all hours and always felt safe on their tree lined street, marveling at the embassies and beautiful town homes. The location of Embassy Circle Guest House is perfect... just a short stroll away from subway and trolley connections and fabulous restaurants, both upscale and casual. The Embassy Circle staff was so helpful to us in our first trip to D.C. We were pure tourists and would leave first thing in the morning and come dragging in late in the evening, bedraggled and tired. Laura, Raymond, the superb staff (Betty and Irina come immediately to mind) and the other guests (who were lovely and friendly) never made us feel as if we were anything but welcomed home! I would be amiss to forget the breakfasts (amazing!) and the congenial social hour with superb wine and snacks in the evening, although we missed a few. Embassy Circle has our highest recommendation and we would not hesitate to stay again! This gorgeous bed and breakfast lived up to every wonderful thing we read in Tripadvisor and more! We have traveled in Italy and quite a bit in the U.S.

Room Tip: I had both knees replaced in 2012, so stairs could be a challenge. Embassy Circle has a small elevat...
