Embassy Circle Guest House
Ranked #2 of 35 Washington DC B&B and Inns
Certificate of Excellence
Reviewed June 2, 2008

My husband and I stayed at the Embassy Circle Guest House for three nights and we were sad to leave. The owners, Raymond and Laura Saba as well as their staff, Ingrid and Nelly made us feel right at home. We enjoyed seeing the Saba's and the other guests at breakfast every morning and sometimes in the afternoons for wine and snacks. It was great to meet people not only from the U.S. but also from other countries.

The inn has been lovingly restored and decorated with beautiful moldings, high ceilings, chandeliers and Persian rugs. Our room was very spacious, comfortable, quiet and bright. The inn is located on Embassy Row and very convenient to the Dupont Circle Metro stop, shops and restaurants. We will definitely be returning to Washington, DC and staying at the Embassy Circle Guest House. We only hope that there will be availability since we are sure that this gem will not be hidden for long.

Thanks to Raymond, Laura, Ingrid and Nelly for a memorable stay. It far exceeded our expectations.

It’s very hard to describe the unforgettable experience at Embassy Circle in a few lines. Having traveled in various locations and discovered different hotels and bed & breakfasts, nothing so far compares to the comfort and hospitality we found at the Embassy Circle. We arrived during a rainy and cold day and from the first moment stepped through the Embassy Circle’s doors we were invited to have a cup of hot chocolate to warm up. The welcoming we had and the help of Laura, Raymond, Ingrid and Nellie made our trip to Washington D.C. so great and a lot easier.
Embassy Circle should be the first choice of anyone who is looking for an accommodation in D.C. It is centrally located, close to the “Dupont Circle” subway station, and very close to one of the most wonderful neighborhoods in Washington D.C., Georgetown. Surrounded by all the embassies, this bed & breakfast offers an amazing view.
The room was very clean and cozy and the breakfast had a great variety of choices. The “wine and snacks” time allowed us to know the other guests and meet people from all around the world: Germany, Switzerland, Canada, U.S. and China.
Raymond, thank you so much for the delicious Lebanese dinner which made us feel like at home, especially after a long day of sightseeing all over Washington D.C. Thank you Laura for the great support you’ve shown to me before the interview and that hug you gave me meant so much.
I can’t wait for my next trip to Washington D.C. and I will definitely stay at the Embassy Circle.

I was in Washington DC May 4-8, 2008 to attend a conference.
Embassy Circle Inn is located close to Du Pont Circle and the Metro so it was safe and easy to get around.
The Inn is a lovingly restored former embassy and beautifully furnished. The artwork itself is worth a visit.
Raymond and Laura, the owners, go above and beyond to make every guest feel comfortable and at home.
You are in luck if your stay is long enough to be included in an imprompty dinner. I had the pleasure of enjoying BBQ salmon and a salad along with lovely chilled wine on their newly completed brick patio.
The only problem I had was that the conference was very busy and I should have liked more time to "hang out" at the Inn and spend more time in lively discussion with the other guests as well as Laura and Raymond!
The rooms are spacious and graceful and service is impeccable.
Breakfasts include wonderful coffee, juices, many varieties of cereals as well as pastries and excellent home made bread.
Their fruit salad is legendary and there is also other choices like cheeses, eggs and smoked salmon.
In the early evening there is wine, served with nuts and other snacks along with congenial and interesting conversation.
There is no TV, as conversation and mingling are encouraged. There are telephones in every room and local calls are included.
WiFi internet is available in every guest room and should you choose to travel light without your laptop there is one for guest use in the dining room.
There are fresh newspapers laid out daily in the lounge.
The staff are very friendly and helpful. If you arrive early they will look after your luggage for you until your room is available and also on your departure day if you are leaving Washington late.
I love going for daily walks. The Inn is located amongst many embassies along tree lined streets. The entire area is safe and friendly with many lovely restaurants and coffee shops and art galleries. I would highly recommend this Inn.
