American bistro for American classic but with a chic twist and delicious cocktails and wines. Subtle design, buzzing noisy athmosphere. Perfect for an happy hour and week days dinner. I would not go as far as the Washingtonian and rank Central in the top 10. Not at all; actually for the food it deserves more a 3.5 then a 4. But if you want American classic in a sophisticated ambiance, Central is an excellent choice. Creme brulee is an excellent choice for dessert. I did not like the apple brown. Mussels chowder is perfect. Hamburgers are great too!
