This restaurant was hopping on a Saturday night with a crowd that was mostly couples, though there was a family or two there as well (and some single guys eating at the bar). The atmosphere is chic but not stuffy. The prices are high ($24 for meatloaf), but the portions are generous. My meal was great, topped off by one of the best desserts I've ever had: a "deconstructed" banana split -- do not try to eat this on your own (this is a two-person dessert, or more, if ever there was one). I was a little dismayed at first to see a couple next to me with two young children who were sitting there with their coloring books. (Dismayed not so much at the children, who were well-behaved, but with the parents. You're going to take a child who would be happy with a Happy Meal to a place where even a burger is nearly $20? If you're so stinking rich you can afford to spend an extra $70 or more just so your kids can not eat some gourmet mashed potatoes I'd prefer you not flaunt it.)
