Description: Blue Duck Tavern, a contemporary neighborhood restaurant, invites its guests to gather and celebrate in good taste with a menu focusing on the freshest ingredients available from local purveyors and artisans. The menu notes every farm where the main ingredient for the dish was raised before its journey to the table. Dishes are genuine, time-honored and traditional -- slow roasting in wood embers, braising, preserving and smoking techniques bring the true flavors of America's great, simple and wholesome foods to the Blue Duck Tavern. The restaurant has an elegant residential feel through the open staff pantry and kitchen, wood-burning oven and the showpiece Molteni range.

Flew in from LA on the red eye and stayed at the Park Hyatt. Went downstairs to grab a sandwich before business meetings and was pleasantly surprised with this little gem. Short rib and brussel sprouts for me, ahi and beets for my husband. Really nice food and presentation. Bread was a little dry but our table neighbor ordered a little apple pie that smelled divine.

Beautiful surroundings, outstanding service and food. Best fried chicken livers my husband ever had, and the French toast was rich and flavorful with fruit inside. Staff was very helpful with storing our grandson's stroller during the meal. They also kept food warm for our daughter's late arrival.

Dear Rembrandt820,

Thank you for your recent review. We are delighted to hear how much you and your family enjoyed your brunch menu, including the Fried Chicken Livers. The Bread Pudding French Toast topped with our Blis Syrup is definitely a favorite choice of mine as well. We hope to welcome you back again!

Best,

The food and service was incredible. Worth every penny of the premium price. The brunch was all-you-can-eat apps and desserts but ordered entree and side. I expected meager entree portions but my ribeye and my wife's turkey were abundantly sized and perfectly cooked.

BDT offers a stylish, yet hearty brunch on weekends and holidays that has become a Christmas or Thanksgiving favorite. Hot apps bar adjacent to an open kitchen, big spreads of chilled steamed shrimp, oysters, and smoked salmon, along with an array of pastries. Entrees and sides prepared to order. Finish with a luxurious dessert buffet.

This was a little pricier than I was looking for but if you just go for a cocktail and a couple of small plates its a great way to get your evening started. Don't miss out on the duck dish!
