This was clearly meant to foster international meetings and trade conventions, and it looks overly monumental, not friendly to walkers.

To get inside you have to go thru security checkpoints which, if you are in a hurry to get to a meeting or to a lunch or a lecture, takes time- Need to go there about 15 minutes early to factor this in.

Located near 14th & Pennsylvania Ave. NW, its a few blocks from the White House, all the Museums, the Washington Monument is two blocks away and the National Aquarium is across the street. Accessible by Metro or bus. Very limited parking

A lot more to offer than you'd think. Food court, architecture, access to many parts of the city and you can stay cool from the summer heat.

They advertise a food court and shopping area in this building but when you get there they are very rude and unwelcoming. There is a very narrow entrance where you are x-rayed and they ask for photo ID in ordert o get a meal. It is not a tourist attraction - it is an official government building and an employee cafeteria instead. Not for Tourists as advertised.
