I stayed here for the July 4th weekend, and the city was packed. This was a great hotel and I am pleased I stayed here. It's at the same station as the National's ball park, and if I were going to a game it'd be perfect. But, for sightseeing it was a little out of the way, but I paid 99 a night, and got a great deal. The hotel itself is up to the standard of the courtyard marriotts. The room is great, and the lobby was very nice. As with all courtyards, you get free internet in the room, hairdryer, iron, and ironing board. There's a subway sandwich shop, five guys burgers, and a CVS around the corner (on the same block) for local options. If you want to walk to the capitol building, it's about a 10-15 minute walk due north, and very easy.
So, while you're not smack dam in the middle of EVERYTHING, it's still a really great, affordable place to stay in DC.More
