We stumbled upon a tour of this magnificent mansion/ house on Massachusetts Avenue, NW, when we were visit in open Embassies on the Embassy open house days. A docent takes groups around explaining the history of the house and the lives of the Andersons who filled it with antiques and artifacts. The Society of Cincinnati, for which this house was bequeathed, has it's own interesting history. It is worth viewing all the antiquities and collections of the Anderson's in this beautiful and expansive mansion.
