This bar/restaurant is a bit of a dive and although the drinks were cheap, the food was not good. You can tell by the look of the place that its not fine dining. However, out of the four meals ordered, only one was edible. I would stop by here for drinks when they are on special but dont use the restroom or eat anything off the menu.

Happy hours twice a day. Decent pub grub with good beer. Staff are friendly even ones who don't look it. We made this our local due to the friendly staff on our shot break to Washington

We wondered in for an early lunch on a Sunday and were greeted with enthusiasm . All of the great US Irish pub beer greats. I grabbed a Boddington's and ordered a chicken breast club sandwich, off of a fairly vast pub menu. The beer was great as always and the sandwich was very good. A full breast on ciabatta bread, but it was a little over cooked. A great lunch spot for sure!

I've been there many times. I like to take co-workers who have never been there. It’s a little crazy at lunch time because it is rather small and it fills up fast. Sandwiches and burger are prepared well. They do serve a bison burger for something different. The service has always been good given the small environment. Value wise, its OK given your in DC.

My husband and I ate lunch here after visiting the Washington Post for a meeting. It was noon and the place was just filling up. The atmosphere was darker with red leather booths and brass and a neat bar. Everyone was friendly and cheerful and we immediately felt comfortable. We ordered a couple of Boddington's (which were on sale) and onion rings, along with two reuben sandwiches. The sandwiches were good but the bread was a bit soggy. The taste was very good, however, and the onion rings were great! If you are looking for a quick lunch for a pretty reasonable price, this will do just fine. I think we spent about $40 for 2 beers, onion rings, two reubens, tax and tip.
