We looked at every exhibit in the museum and returned again to make sure we didn't miss anything. Everything is fantastic. The war exhibit was fascinating. The flag that inspired the star spangled banner gave me goosebumps. The civil rights exhibit was by far the most worthwhile stop in the museum.

The cafeteria in the basement was surprisingly good with lots of fresh options. No McDonald's in sight.

A lot to see and too little time. The special 1863 / 1963 exhibit was very interesting as were the permanent collections. The best artifacts are those that you once knew about but had forgotten about or the one's where you hear someone say "Oh, we had those TV trays."

This was a fun museum to tour. They have everything from Dorothy's red shoes from The Wizard of Oz to Julia Child's original kitchen. I would definately recommend this one!

To see all the great works of art I've only seen in books and posters was awesome. Wandering from gallery to gallery admiring it all, I got lost! It was worth it.

The museum is full of great American treasures, but the Civil Rights Exhibit was far and away one of the best exhibits within the museum. It brings to life the cause of human rights, and the things that our country holds dear to its freedoms. My children are so much more enlightened by the hands-on experience of the museum than they could have obtained from any textbook or class in middle school. Great experience, and one that everyone should take the time to see.
