I find this memorial to be the most beautiful in DC. It's stunning and heartfelt.

A strong reason for going to this memorial is that the Honor Flight Participants come here. ( Honor Flight is a organization that brings WWII vets to DC for a day, to see all the sights, free of charge). If you visit this memorial, be sure to go up to these Vets and talk to them......thank them for their service. These vets are soon to be all gone, so take the opportunity now!

I found the memorial not to be an "emotional" one, like the Vietnam Memorial, but a "factual" one....they have every state, all theaters of the war represented, etc. Personally, I would of liked more emotion....and more greenery IN the memorial.....all that granite is hot and hard!

This memorial has an impersonal feel about, using columns for each state and 4000 gold stars to represnet all those who gave thier lives in WWII seems too impersonal. Sorry it missed the spot but as a memorial one should visit it and pay respect.

Although, I have been to Washington before this is the 1st time I had visited this memorial. What a great tribute to the greatest generation that ever lived.

Not so uncommon to run into a WW2 vet here I hear and we did. My opinion is its the most beautiful of all the war monuments. Literally moved to tears by the construction and tributes. Great place to get family shots of washingtons monument as well
