Wandering around Georgetown and stumbled into this wonderful old tavern. Nice atmosphere, service, and wonderful food definitely going back again.

“Lots of History, Average Food”
Reviewed November 4, 2012

This pub, opened in the same location since 1933, claim to fame is the number of Presidents, Senators, Supreme Court Justices and other politician that have dined here. They tell you which booth JFK sat in us a senator, and which booth he used to propose to Jacqueline. It is certainly worth a visit for the history. We were accommodated without a reservation after waiting about 20 minutes. The food is the average pub fare. We ordered meatloaf and slow cooked pot roast. They were good but not outstanding. The service was only average.

Went here with my wife and daughter for lunch after visiting Georgetown. They had the best pot roast dinner. Melt in your mouth roast with perfectly cooked veggies. I know it was just a pot roast but .......................
