Stopped in for a quick lunch on a wet/cold day. Had a soup and sandwich meal. Excellent tasting sandwich, the bread was fresh, the soup was hearty and delicious. Was very busy with the business crowd but thats to be expected on a weekday. Would recommend this to anyone looking for a quick and delicious lunch.

I visited Breadline recently at lunch for an excellent curried chicken salad! I salad has chicken and green apples and is served with an excellent, fresh ciabatta roll. I also love the Persian chicks and a number of their sandwiches.

My favorite sandwich is the Prosciutto Piadina- which is the best- and only authentic Piadina I have ever had outside of Bologna, Italy. (A Piadina is a grilled italian flatbread sandwich.)

Also, breadline serves Illy coffee and if you order an espresso "to stay" it's only two dollars.

This place is always crowded between about 12 pm and 2:00 pm but the lines move quickly. If you eat after 1:30, you are more likely to find a seat and can have a coffee while enjoying the free wifi.

Breadline puts out excellent food, but the long winding lines are confusing and appetite-killing. By the time you figure out which line to stand in (and that seems to change constantly), half your lunch time is over with.

If you're lucky enough to get in during a rare "slow" period - get it to go anyway since seating is limited, crowded and right in the middle of the long lines. (Not fond of trying to eat while hungry strangers eye my food longingly!)

Soups and salads look tasty, but I've only eaten the sandwiches. They are huge - more than enough to share or save for afternnon snack. If line is out the door, Potbelly's is not far away and moves much faster!

If you can get to Breadline without a line, or better yet, without a very long line, it is worth it. If you have to wait and wait, then youcan go to bunch of other nearby places and get things very similar. Their soups change often, which is nice to keep it someplace to go over and over and never get the same things twice.
