Pair the sculpture garden with lunch at the cafe in the garden, which is a good place away from most if the crowds. The garden is fairly small, but prettily landscaped and even in winter works well as a garden. The sculptures themselves are very varied and all what you might call "modern". The replica Paris Metro entrance is a very cute addition. I expect it's a great place to sit in the summer.

Although I have been to sculpture gardens that are larger, and have more impressive pieces, this one was interesting, with the temporary ice rink in the center of the garden as a kind of "movable sculpture" of kids and families all having fun on a winter's day.

We went specifically to view the Chagall mosaic that had been moved to the Sculpture Garden. You have to look for it, since it is tucked way at the back wall of the garden, and there is no clear path to it. It's worth finding, and there are some nice benches to sit on and view it.

Several other sculptures we particularly enjoyed were the large tree of stainless steel, and the reproduction of a Paris Metro entry sign, as well as the typewriter eraser.

It's always nice having part of a museum that is small, with just a few good pieces. This fits that bill.

We enjoy walking through the gardens and "oohing and aahhing" how creative the artists are! It is usually not very crowded, so you can take your time and enjoy.

We found it by accident en route to the National Archives. It only takes a short time to walk through and worth the time. It’s free also. The kids enjoyed it as much as we did. There is also an ice skating rink here.

This is a great place any time of year but especially in spring and summer when you can sit in the cool shade and watch all the sculptures around you. I also love the fountain on a hot summer's day when you can stick your feet in!
