“Consistently good food and service”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 14, 2013

We have dined at La Perla in the past and always enjoy the food and professional service. On this visit, we received more than the usual special attention from the chef due to my gluten free requirements. What a treat to have a delicious osso buco with GF pasta! Our party of three was very satisfied with salads, entrees and desserts. Our reservation was made through Open Table with a request for a quiet table...La Perla mentioned it immediately upon our arrival and found the perfect spot for our business meeting.

“Good fresh Italian ”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 3, 2013 via mobile

This is one of the very few occasions where an hotel concierge is correct
Nice ambience, well served, and fresh made risotto

The place was not very busy, which I can see as good fortune, since there is a good number of tables set in the dinning room.
In any case, I will return when in DC

“Good; not outstanding”

I was a guest with a business colleague. Every one enjoyed their meals, I was a little disappointed in mine. The Vidalia Onion soup was thin in flavor. The featured pasta was nice but the portion I thought was small. Great service and fun ambiance.

“not so great”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 29, 2013

Yes the food and service were very good, however it was very loud and crowded. there are lots of tables crammed into a small dining area. The food portions were small and overpriced. the tab for the 2 of us was $150 for two of the cheapest entrees and one of the cheapest bottles of wine, that's all. I actually thought the decor wasn't too bad. Don't go here if you're looking for a quiet romatic setting.

“Excellent”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 12, 2013

This is the second time to La Perla. We actually liked it so much the last time we were there, that we searched out the name this trip to be able to go back. The service was excellent. It is very classic Italian. From the decor, to the wonderful tasting food, to the chef/owner who comes to every table to ask about the food. I had caprese salad and veal parmigiana. Both were excellent. The cannoli for dessert was just as tasty. The wine was reasonably priced and we had a great bottle of cabernet. They were out of our first choice however. A second wonderful experience at this restaurant. Will definitely go back.
