I'll tell you why: I'd already been in DC for several days and spent way too much on breakfasts. Then I stopped here very early (no line) and had, on two separate occasions, two of their four types of quiche. Really delicious and creamy, and the crust was perfect. The coffee was strong and delilcious (and lots of teas). The price was quite reasonable, and the staff were quick. Ambience is like a hippy's home. Place was loaded with kids with their parents, and they were clearly there for the fantastic selection of cupcakes, cookies, pies, etc. Later, on both days, I walked by and saw a line of customers that stretched down the block! Fair warning-- get there early, or be prepared to make some new friends. Highly recommended.
