The food was very good and waitress was very attentive and helpful. There was also a piano player. It was in the back room of the building so you had to walk through a small German grocery store to get to it. I would have like to spend more time browsing in there but we were there at closing. We had time to pick up a gingerbread man and some eclairs for a later dessert. Next time we will allow more time. It would be difficult to happen upon as you cannot see restaurant from street. We did not have reservations and went right in but it was late. Since it was not very big they are probably needed during dinner hours.

I found this little place via Yelp and really enjoyed it. It's the back end of a German deli, and provided a quiet environment. The jager schnitzel (schnitzel prepared without frying, more sauteed) was delicious, as were the German potato salad and red cabbage I chose for sides. The service was attentive without being annoying. A Viennese lady sang and played an accordion-like instrument that she showed me during one of her breaks - I thought she referred to it as some kind of harmonica, but it really resembled an accordion. She was charming and very talented. The dessert list is huge, and the Linzer torte I had was outstanding. Recommended!

Nice option for Austrian and German food but more reminders of those countries would help. Schniztel was very good but a little smaller than in other restaurants. I was there on a quiet night, so there was no entertainment. With entertainment, this place is a must - once you get past the dingy-looking store/deli leading to the dining room.

Austrian food is some of the most difficult to find, and Cafe Mozart gets it right. If you've never had Austro-Bavarian food before and you're looking to get your feet wet, get the Huhner Schnitzel (Chicken Schnitzel). (It's like a giant chicken tender!) If you've been to the area and want something authentic, get the huhner schnitzel. Their sausages are right-on, as well they should be.

The service was solid, no complaints.

Cafe Mozart earns its 5-star rating from the food and the ambiance... several nights each week they have live music in the dining room, and the night we were there, it was an Austrian woman playing their version of the accordion and singing old folk songs and taking requests!

As a native of Bavaria, I appreciate good food. I don't mind traveling from Severna Park (near Annapolis) as often as I can to enjoy a good German meal. I am NEVER disappointed, recognizing that even a cook can have a b ad day.

The service has always been very good. However, as in past years, it would be a special treat to have servers who speak and/or understand at least SOME German. Now that the restaurant has added live entertainment of German/Austrian music, that has greatly enhanced the "Gemütlickeit" in the place. Like in Germany, it is great fun to eat, drink and sing to the music, all at the same time, and nobody seems to mind. However, there is room for making the decorum a little more German.

For me it is always a treat to go there, no matter the distance to do so, it is ALWAYS worth the time and money I spend there. Additionally
