My family and I really enjoyed or visit to Jaleo. The service was very good, fast and friendly. The food selection and food quality is very good as well as the price. Do not miss the bunuelos de bacalao! Amazing! And the shrimps were incredible ( be careful as they are a bit spicy!) the ambiance was casual and very relax. My husband and two teen kids had a good time!

This is our go-to place whenever we are in the Verizon Center/Chinatown part of town. Chef Andres never disappoints! Great atmosphere, friendly service, and fantastics food. Love the bacon-wrapped dates, the crispy flatbread, and the mini-hamburgers from the famous acorn-fed, black-footed Iberica pigs of Spain! Lots of choices to share with your companion(s).

We did the tasting menu and it was so much food we couldn't finish everything. The tasting menu was a smidge fish heavy if you don't like seafood. The Gin and Tonic dessert was amazing - tingled on your tongue! The service was excellent and they treated our children like gold. They made recommendations based on things that we liked and they were spot on. I feel this is worth the splurge if you are going to have a nice meal while in Washington.

This is a must visit while in Washington. My friend and I went to an early dinner and we walked into a sherry tasting for anyone who wanted to play. Lots of fun.

We were seated at a lovely table and our server greeted us warmly. I love to have fun and am good at so I told her that were in the mood to try new dishes. She immediately picked up on this and asked if there was anything we absolutely wouldn't eat. Of course we said no.

I ordered a special cocktail with elder flower which was beautifully refreshing. Then we ordered from the generous menu of small plates and based some of our choices on her recommendations. We also asked the sommelier for a reasonably priced bottle of Rueda and he made an excellent suggestion so we kept following their leads.

We had one tapas that we did not like and the waitress made it go away no questions asked. Just the kind of service you want, attentive, responsive and not the least bit cloying. When dissatisfaction arose, she took care of it immediately.

The cod fritters were delicious as well as the beet salad and manchego cheese with quince sauce. Yum. When you go, just have fun experiencing the sensual delights of this fine food and take the lead from your server if it feels right.

The Jaleo Restaurant has never failed to satisfy, both the tastes and the service have made it one of my favorite places to eat. It is a short walk to the museums and is located in a nice area of town. I like the small dishes and particularly the tasting menu when offered.
