Very creative, very small and cozy place in DC on P Street. With only room for 32 patrons it is indeed very cozy, but the chef is highly creative. Menu changes daily (I think). Prix Fixe for 4 courses @ $85, wine pairing $55 supplement. Well worth it!
Starts with Antipasti - no choices here. We received 5 dishes, a couple of individuals, and 3 to share. Amazing. Highlights included the Burrata, the frito misto of sardines, onion & lemon. Bread basket (baked onsite) was also first rate.
Primi for me was suckling pig ravioli. Secondi, roasted squab with an outstanding accompaniment of rapini, currants and pinenuts. Simply fabulous. Next was a 3 cheese assortment, plated individually, with a wonderful green tomato jam. They are quite proud of the cheeses, and rightly so.
Dessert was the only thing not 'special' although the house made ice cream was superb!
Service was professional and attentive.
Not inexpensive, but highly recommended.
