I had a hard time just walking into the place because it smelled so bad. Smells like they need to do some serious rug or upholstery cleaning or something. It was a sour smell like the inside of a city bus on a hot day and urine man is at the back of the bus. I grinned and tolerated it because my friends wanted to eat there. The meal was good. But I won't be back because of the smell.

Overall the experience was good and worth recommending. The food was great, particularly the seafood bisque. Our server seemed agitated when we didn't order a recommended cocktail but did warm up as the meal went on.

This is not the place for a diet or to count calories. Georgia Browns serves low country southern cuisine in a tablecloth setting. The fried chicken, mashed potatoes, and greens are my favorite during dinner. There isn't a bad dish in the place. On the weekend, GB's brunch is a great value.

So why the low rating? The service and atmosphere need a lot of improvement. The service makes you feel like you are at a fast food restaurant instead of a fine dining restaurant.

The decor and atmosphere speak for themselves. Ten years ago, people dressed up to go to GB. Yesterday, most of the clientele had on flip flops and t-shirts.

GB has great food, but it is more casual than it was in the past.

The restaurant has really good food. If you are looking for good southern style cooking, Georgia Brown's is a must. We had reservations for (8) people, however everyone didn't arrive on time. While waiting for the rest of the party, we had drinks at the bar. the bartender Abel was very nice and courteous. He assisted others in the parties in deciding the best martinis. The customer service is phenomenal. Ayana, General Manager came to our table to ensure that me and my guests were satisfied with the service and the food. Vernon, the server at the restaurant was very familiar with the menu. He was able to give us recommendations on particular food items. I will definitely visit the restaurant again. You must try the peach cobbler!

The service and food were equally enjoyable. A surprisingly delicious appetizer was blue cheese stuffed bacon-wrapped dates. Lovely dining experience.
