This place was recommended by a friendof mine and it did not disappoint. The catfish is soooo delicious. I love when restaurants put forth effort on presentation! The fried green tomatoes were incredible! My stuffed shrimp shrimp dish was very yummy. My hubby had gumbo and it was just okay. We had the chocolate pecan pie for dessert and it was too warmed. I felt it list its form and flavor because it was warmed too much. Finally, do not miss your blessing by passing on the sweet tea. I dreamt about the tea last night! Our server was so incredible. He was attentive and patient. You will enjoy your experience!l Loved it!

We just had drinks and watched the inauguration on the TV at the bar but the restaurant was lovely. The staff was so friendly. The menu looked great and the location is perfect.

Georgia Brown is advertised as Southern food, but being from the deep South I'll have to demur slightly. They do a fine job at presentation, but the food is prepared with more of an urban flair - smaller portions, brown gravy with fried chicken (illegal in at least 6 states) and goat cheese on the fried green tomato. The food was delicious - even with goat cheese - but the prices were far higher then they should be for "Southern Comfort".

Our service was good - we were greeted and seated promptly and drink orders taken quickly. We dined early, so the food was brought out in a relatively short time. The fried chicken was yummy and the collard greens actually cooked correctly - hard to find that anywhere! And the corn bread was so good, I could have made a meal out of it!

I also loved the look of the decor, though it was barely accessible for those with mobility issues. The entrance way was a bit cramped to walk through - simply moving the hostess station back would make it easier to move with a chair or walker.

Overall, our Georgia Brown experience was close enough to very good to merit the 4 in rating. Two words for a better visit - cream gravy.

Food was great! Went on a Sunday there was a live jazz band...with the buffet came a entree to take home for later. Had the shrimp and grits..very good. Service was excellent! Buffet was $40 however the take home entree made it worth it.

We Dined over New Year, very attentive service and our meals were tasty and filling. I found the price of the wines and coffee at $5.00 each for a lousy cup to be over the top and take the gloss of a food night
