i have dined there many times and always had an excellent meal;
the waiters are very experienced and all to the flavor of the
experience. Expensive, but very good

“What dining out is all about!”
Reviewed November 28, 2012

My wife and I had a supersatisfying dining experience and now have a new DC favorite restaurant on our list. Came in on a chilly night and immediately felt like we were in a cozy home with very friendly and knowledgeable servers and a superb meal. Started with "tuna crudo" on a salt slab and the Wollensky salad (lettuce with smoky bacon chunks, tasty tomatoes, dijon mustard dressing) - both delicious. Then we had a Porterhouse steak for two - this is a classic example of the best cuts of meat going to special restaurants like this - you would not find a cut of meat like this in any store. Possibly the best beef I have ever had. Did not think we were going to even try to fit in a dessert (already had the doggie bag) but had to try the creme brulee trio - it did not disappoint! (in my opinion the strawberry was the best; my wife was impressed by the bits of real vanilla in her favorite). The drinks were also good - started with a very satisfactory pear ginger martini. We will definitely return and bring good friends and family!
