Still great for groups of all sizes and the private room now seats 56 people. Located in walking distance from the Marriott Wardman Park and Omni Shoreham Hotels and directly across the street from the Woodley Park Metro station, our DC location is ideal for corporate and social events. Validated self-parking is also available in the garage directly behind the restaurant. The Cedar Room accommodates up to 60 people for a private seated event and 40 people for a standing reception. For smaller affairs, the room can be offered as a semi privately as well. The main dining room is also available for larger parties.

“Great hole inthe wall place!”
Reviewed June 4, 2013

We stopped into the Lebanese Taverna as we were walking through Georgetown after a morning at the zoo. It did not look like much from the outside, but inside was very nice!. Great decor and feel - open floor plan, that made it a little loud, buat also very warm and inviting. The food was great - swarma, falafels, hummus - all great. Very nice kids menu, and great beers on tap.
Service was very friendly, but alittle slow (othersie would have had 5 stars!).
I would definately recommend and go back!

“Elegant restaurant near zoo.”
Reviewed May 28, 2013 via mobile

The sidewalk cafe is a deceiving entrance to this magnificent and elegant eatery. Much attention to detail, great service and delightful authentic fare. Can't wait to return

“It is an OK experience”
Reviewed May 28, 2013

It is an OK experience. We had the tavern platter and most of it was bought not prepared by the restaurant. It is unfair to credit the restaurant for a dish that is purchased from somewhere else. The entrees were prepared by the restaurant and they were OK. The chicken was very good. The eggplant was a little on the dry side. Great location though. In my opinion they should go through the extra effort and prepare the traditional Lebanese appetizer in house.

“Decidedly "OK" contemporary Lebanese dining”
Reviewed May 27, 2013

This is just one of those restaurants which defies strong opinions. There's really not much wrong with it... the decor is nice, the service is pretty good, the atmosphere is lively and the food is certainly not bad. However, I find it hard to believe that anyone could really love a place like this. I've been to much better Lebanese restaurants and the price-point is not low enough to see this as a quality budget offering. The dining room is contemporary in design but lacks character.

I think I would probably give this place a second chance if I was back in DC. I only had a chicken shawarma salad, so maybe other dishes would better showcase their talents.

“Good Food, Pricey for what you get”
Reviewed May 20, 2013

I needed a place for a business meeting that would take a reservation in the area. This met all of those criteria. That said, it was very loud and overpriced for what you received. The food was good and fresh.
