We were visiting the National Cathedral and my wife suggested we try to find a German restaurant afterward for lunch. Thanks to the internet we were able to find Old Europe just down the road. What an unexpected surprise for the two of us. A very wonderful restaurant, full of old world ambience and amazingly delicious food. We both had schnitzels - my wife the veal and I the pork. Tender and tasty. The heavy, dark gravy was delicious and the homemade spaetzle was very good. The accompanying Oktoberfest beer rounded out an authentic German lunch!!! Our next visit we will go for dinner.
