My husband and I went to this great restaurant over the weekend. The staff was amazing and extremely courteous. The food was wonderful. I suggest you go hungry.

The food was average but when considering the cost of it, it actually becomes really becomes poor. The service was not normal US nor DC standards and our requests to split the bill were met with lies and ridiculous excuses.
The decor is truly awful which, added to the shared entrance with a massage parlour, creates a seedy ambience. This is out of character with the rest of the Dupont area which is lovely.
Avoid this place, when there are so many great eateries in the area there is no reason to eat here.

Visited here with a group of nine will staying nearby on a conference.
While the service staff were pleasant initially, the place lacked any ambience sharing a front door with a seedy massage parlour. How pleasant it was to leave our table to be met in the hallway by a raincoat attired gentleman who had visited that parlour. Classy!
Bread served with oil was dry, chicken with peppers and potatoes was almost inedible with greasy potatoes, a couple of dry rounds of very overcooked carrots and piles of peppers looking well past their best.
Drinks were ridiculously expensive.
The worst came when we came to pay our bill. We were charged 20% service and then tax (including tax on service!). Several dishes were over-charged by a few dollars and there was some suspect additions. We actually had asked for separate bills, being on business, but they refused, stating that to do so would mean an order being sent down to the kitchen again - very strange excuse, clearly in an effort to disguise their blatant overcharging.
So, in short, horrible location, appalling food, expensive, lacking in atmosphere, over-charging and rude.
Please don't go here!

Had dinner a bit early and restaurant was quite. Nice room, good wine. Had the scaloppine ala Michele...very good. Appetizer was grilled peppers with black olive...also very tasty.

Staff was friendly and attentive. Highly recommended.
