“SO MUCH FUN!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 22, 2013

It's just fun eating there and the food is good. My husband had lasagna and I had something with shrimp. The portions were very generous and the house wine is good. The wait staff is very attentive and well trained. I saw a lot of decorations that brought back my Catholic school days which were good.

“The atmosphere is a bit over the Top the food is below Average”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 22, 2013

I was at this restaurant as part of a large work group of over 70. I should state before anything that the vast majority of my colleagues loved the restaurant. I think the place was way over the top in it's decorations, it seems like a cartoonish vision of what a child's idea of Italian would be. The food itself is below average and to be honest my local pizza place has food that is far superior to this restaurant. It is alright if you are an American tourist with no idea of what food should taste like. However, if you live in New York, as I do, or anywhere in Europe, you may not like the food.

“It's been years...”

...since we ate at a Buca di Beppo, and actually my wife remembered she didn't like it then. However, we had lunch while waiting for another hop on hop off bus, and we were really pleasantly surprised. The food was very good, the service was excellent, and the atmosphere was, well, Buca!

“Love,this place”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 18, 2013

We were here two nights in a row and on the second night we were greeted as family. We were toured throughout the rooms as well as the kitchen, and our waiter from the first evening came in to check on us a couple of times during dinner. The portions are large so seek guidance from the wait staff. We thought the food was great ... Apple Gorgonzola salad, Caesar salad, veal saltimbocca, fettuccine supremo, ravioli and sauce and the Italiano supremo pizza... All fantastic. On the second night we had the small salad and small pizza so we could try their desserts...also amazing. We shared the cannoli and the Italian cream cake. We will definitely be back the next time we are in the city.

“Family fun dining”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 18, 2013 via mobile

If you have ever been to Carmine's in New York, this is like that! It's family dining style! So one entree feeds two or more people depending in the dish. The walls are filled with pictures and nostalgia . There is a table for large parties that is what my family called the popes table! There was a bust if a pope in center if the table and the walls surrounding the table had popes on it as well! If your bringing your family , plan ahead, because there is ONE table actually in the kitchen . You can watch as everyone's meal is being created! We love Carmine's, but one thing Bucas had over it was before they seat you , they give brief tour of kitchen and introduce you to the head chef! Kids loved it! Food and service was great! Highly suggest reservations otherwise waiting 45/60 minutes! And if you want that kitchen table reserve well ahead!
