When my wife and I were mapping out our dinners for a recent trip to D.C. Old Ebbitt Grill popped up on every search we looked at. All of them had good reviews as somewhere you “must go”. I’m glad we took the advice. We stuck with seafood throughout opting for the crab cakes, Walrus Platter, and lobster. We also had a salad, cheese tray, and desert for good measure. Believe the hype and go in. The first thing my brother in law asked when I got home was “Did y’all go to Old Ebbit Grill?”

Stopped in here for late dinner after reading reviews… Just down the street from the White House. First we were told 45 minute wait, but pleasantly surprised and we were seated right away in a booth which we requested.turkey sandwich is excellent,And the cheesecake is very good. We liked it so much we came again the next night and only waited about 40 minutes. Excellent meatloaf dinner, and crème brûlée very good. Lively atmosphere, and professional service. If you sit in the table, you are very close to your neighbors ,so try to get a booth!

A friend told us to be sure and eat there and to order the crab cakes. We did and thats what I ordered. The food is a little pricey but worth every penny especially the dessert. Be prepared to wait and expect it to be crowded, but it moves fast. I would recommend making reservations for dinner since it is so popular. If your in Washington this grill is not to be missed.

My wife and I heard about this place and had to see it. It was a very cool Bar. It has such a history as the oldest bar in DC. We had a few beers and snacks for a fun afternoon. Highly recommend going to this historic bar in DC
