From the warm bread to the actual meal, we were very pleased with the taste, presentation and quality. Excellent food. I had the beef bourguignon which was amazing. Others had the muscles, half roasted chicken, cheese burger and calamari. Worth the wait and price.

Really LOVED the oyster stew and crab cakes- good service and environment.

Tip - Chocolate Brownie Sunday is spectacular!

Highly recommend this restaurant, plus the location is perfect for sightseeing and walking-off a big meal.

Came highly recommended on trip advisor and we had just arrived in DC. Booked on opentable for half an hour later and surprisingly there were still tables. Lucky as when we got there it was packed - so busy. But as we had booked we got seated after a couple of minutes, served quickly and food was lovely.

The food here has continued to improve over the years, both in quality and the variety of the menu. Prices have gone up owing to the resurgence of the area. This is a DC classic not to missed.

I was pleasantly surprised to find beef bourguignon on the menu! This is my favorite dish and I do not see it on the menu of many restaurants. This was the best I ever had. The sauce was great and the meat was tender. Great vegetables as well! Our server was so attentive, always refilling our iced teas. Dessert was a brownie sundae with a delicious java ice cream and chocolate curls. Manager came over to get our opinion. Like I told him, I loved my dining expand will certainly return!
