“Classic place!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 16, 2014 via mobile

You need to go catch this historical place in DC, near the White House, if you can. It was always busy. We ate at one of the back bars and had a great experience. Waitress was amazing and clearly knew how to manage the crowd. She got us in and out, and did the same for others. She was entertaining to watch. I had pulled pork which was good. Food is slightly over priced but you are paying for atmosphere! Good memories to be able to say we have been there!

“Great crab cakes”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 16, 2014

All restaurants in Washington are fairly expensive I think so you should at least get good food and service. We ate here twice- lunch and brunch. The crab cakes were so good and the service excellent that we took our family back for the brunch. The food was fine and the service was poor to be generous.

“"Do Lunch" like a politician, lobbyist or White House staffer.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 16, 2014 via mobile

I used to work in DC many years ago and this place has always been a unique and interesting dining experience. It hasn't changed much over the years and retains a traditional
DC feel. The food is actually pretty good and not too pricey for the location. Although it might look a little stuffy with all the DC suits in there at lunch time you won't feel out of place in casual attire and tourists are welcomed.

“DC Vacation”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 16, 2014

After a full morning of touring, we had a late lunch at this great restaurant. It is conveniently located across from the Treasury Building near the White House. It has a very extensive menu with outstanding service. We had 3 tables of ten and we all loved the different foods that we selected. Everyone loved it. It has a great old fashioned bar. It is a must visit.

“Great Location”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 16, 2014

This restaurant is in a great location. Just a short distance from the White House and other historic attractions. Had to wait about twenty five minutes as we didn't have a reservation but can't complain about that.Service was excellent. The food was good also. Would definitely eat there again.
