Smiley, our driver, was a highlight of the tour. Wear comfy shoes and bring a sweater; you will be hopping off and on the trolley at many stops. This is a great way to get pictures during less crowded times.

This was a great tour and the monuments were beautiful at night. The cart tour allowed us to save our feet and still enjoy the beautiful monuments. The tour guide also pointed out other important landmarks and buildings around the National Mall.

With so many Night Tours offered in Washington DC it was difficult to choose which one to do. We thoroughly enjoyed this one although I'm sure they are all good.

We departed from Union Station and although my husband and I arrived about 20 minutes early there was already a huge crowd waiting for the bus. This looked disappointing but it really worked for us. There were a couple of buses parked at the Station but these were not the ones that were loaded first. There were 3 buses (I think, or maybe it was just 2) that arrived and these were filled - the only thing was, these buses had obviously picked up from hotels along the way so they were NOT empty when they arrived. So by the time we were at the head of the queue and ready to load - yay! that bus arrived empty!!! We were very lucky to get good seats. It is just the luck of the draw, but do be aware that getting to the pick up point early is not really a great benefit.

The tour was fabulous and we had a great guide and driver - Just Joe. He very considerately slowed down for photo shots in places that he was not able to stop, he was very informative as well as humorous in his explanations. Truly it was an unforgettable tour and our last stop in particular at the Iwo Jima Monument was very emotive.

Washington city is absolutely beautiful and to visit some of the monuments at night is so memorable. My favourites were the Martin Luther King memorial and the Lincoln memorial, and of course the Iwo Jima memorial. Some of the others, like the Korean War Veterans memorial are better seen during daylight hours.

Love this tour!!

I took the night tour of the Washington monuments that was recommended by my hotel and after doing another tour with USA Guided Tours and had an outstanding experience. Seeing the monuments at night lite up was absolutely awesome and a wonderful way to see them, and I highly recommend this tour, but do have a few recommendations after my experience.

The bus was very nice and comfortable, which I am was very thankful for, because what was called a 3 hour tour turned into 5 1/2 hours. Several stops along the way to pick people up, which is understandable, but unnecessary delays due mostly in part to our tour guide for several different reasons. When we picked up the tour guide and remaining tourist, it seemed very unorganized and lots of time wasted while the guide was figuring things out. The guide, Henry, was nice and friendly when speaking to the group as a whole, but wasn't really sincere! When speaking to him one on one, he was not friendly, seemed annoyed at times, ignoring some people at times, spent significant time off the bus on his cell phone, and when he was talking he talked a lot about himself and was rather condescending. He obviously had negative feelings about certain things along the route of the tour. He went out of his way to trash talk the Trump International Hotel, and went on and on about the cost of things there. He was knowledgeable about DC and the monuments but at times he went on and on about how everyone needed to act, and was rather insulting. There was no one at all on this tour that gave him any reasons to constantly preach about how we should act or not act while at a stop, he just seemed to feel he needed to stress his opinions on everyone, like he had a chip on his shoulder. It just made things awkward and uncomfortable at times for no reason. When the tour was done, we returned to the main drop off spot, he was getting off with some of the others on the bus. He spent about 15 minutes just departing, telling everyone how much he appreciated everyone and everything then walking up and down the isle handing out his card, basically asking for tips, without coming right out and asking, then he spent several more minutes standing and talking to our driver about his cell phone service while everyone was just waiting on the bus to be returned to our hotels. It was just not professional. Some people found him engaging and didn't seem offended, but there were certainly others that felt the way I did.

Our driver, Curtis was very nice, professional, friendly and a very good safe driver, he was awesome! I do recommend this tour, and seeing the DC monuments at night is a great way to do it, I would just totally recommend a different tour guide.

Spent our last night on a Nighttime Monument Tour booked with Viator: $100/couple.
Small group of 10 in a nice Mercedes vehicle. Direct hotel pick-up and drop off.
Loved seeing the monuments all lit up at night and views back of the Washington Monument with the Capitol Building all lit up in the background.
Good way to say good-bye to Washington.

Our concierge arranged for our Monuments by Moonlight tour on a Monday night. The weather was hot, but the bus was cool. Our bus was not completely filled, so we had room to spread out. We learned many very interesting facts that we had not known previously.

One of the very top tours I have ever been on; the guide “Mr History” has a deep well of knowledge of the buildings in DC, but also of world and American history, and delivers these facts and observations in a humorous and engaging presentational manner. The monuments and memorials are great in daylight and especially memorable at night. If there is only one tour you do in DC, make it this one.

We recently went on the Monuments by Moonlight Night Tour. Christopher was our guide and he was energetic and very knowledgeable about the monuments with running commentary throughout the tour. He was also loud enough for you to hear him which is not always the case on some of these tours. Not having to park a car was great plus the bus can get you up closer to the monuments so you do not have to walk as far. Seeing them at night gave you a scale of their grandeur. We highly recommend Christopher with Monuments by Moonlight Night Tour!

Highly recommend taking the night tour!!! The monuments at night are spectacular! US Tours is awesome!!! Christopher & Thomas were the best! Christopher brought energy and knowledge to the tour. Thomas got us where we needed to be safely. We were given plenty of time at each location to take pictures and just take in the beauty of the monuments. As we got off the bus at the White House, Christopher ensured that we kept together to avoid any negative impact from the protesters. Our safety was his #1 priority! It was a highlight of our trip!

Thanks to Christopher for taking us to the highlights of DC, including the White House, the Lincoln, Jefferson and Dr King memorials, as well as the WWII, Korea and Vietnam war memorials. Excellent background info, presented at a very fast pace to include as much as possible, with some jokes at times.
Strolling into or past the highlights was at a very pleasant slow pace, to allow everyone to follow Christopher, or going out on our own and meet Khaleef, the driver, at the bus again after an agreed period of time.
Excellent stuff in about 2 and a half hour!
