The rooms are very small. They have only showers no bathtubs which I prefer . This Hampton Inn also did not have a refrigerator and parking costs $30!
It is about a 2 mile walk to the Smithsonian museum.

Great stay! Hotel looks brand new and rooms have a studio apartment feel. The location is a very convenient one block walk to Blue/Orange line Metro. Quiet neighborhood on weekends, however I was sensitive to truck traffic in middle of night. The hotel provides ear plugs - nice touch. The breakfast is very delicious - everything fresh. Each time I passed the front desk during my stay I was greeted by front desk personnel. Even the valet provides the happy Hampton hello. Room lacks a frig which would be a nice amenity. Pool and exercise room on lower level are immaculate. Good value for DC.

Clean, modern facility. Small but comfortable room. Bathroom was spotless. For an early morning departure, the front desk staff was unable to get me a cab with 15 minutes lead time. I ended up having to hustle to the Metro to catch my train.

This was my first stay at this property. I have no complaints. The staff was super nice. The lobby was fairly large with enough space for work or to meet someone. The rooms were spacious and clean. Very nice property.

Terrific location -- in the downtown business district with easy walks to tourist attractions. Walking distance or short cab ride to lots of good restaurants. Front desk attentive and friendly -- and valet parking service prompt and helpful. Good breakfast in pleasant setting. Rooms are sparkling clean. I'll definitely return!

We stayed in Hampton Inn for 4 nights and we enjoyed the very clean, comfortable room and the wonderful breakfast. There was a lot of choice and a bowl of fruit was available throughout the day. The location is superb - walking distance to the White House, Metro station and restaurants. The staff is friendly and helpful. We were given a free night's stay due to some noise disturbance though we didn't complain. It was given to everyone apparently. When there was a mistake in the bill, they corrected the mistake and apologised and were very patient in explaining the revised bill. Though there is no fridge in the room, the staff kept our leftover meals in their kitchen fridge and there was a microwave near the lobby area that we could use to heat up the food. The standard of Hampton compares to Marriott etc but includes breakfast which makes it better value for money.

I have stayed at Hampton Inns all over the country and this one is great too.The hotel staff was very helpful and friendly and the complimentary continental breakfast was awesome. Because, I felt very satisfied when Laura helped my in-laws from Peru make your waffles in Spanish. My Spanish is very bad and she very kindly helped them handle the situation. Gracias.Laura

Room Tip: Higher floors have a nice view.
