Nice hotel in convenient location. Staff is always friendly and beds comfortable. I have stayed in this hotel twice and I would definitely return again. My only complaint was the last room I stayed in had a low humm from the room next door, which appeared to be a mechanical room. This noise was disturbing.

Easy walking access to many items. Comfortable room, clean, and friendly staff. Many great sights and eatery options. Quick and easy access to the D.C. Metro system. Breakfast freshness and options were a bit disappointing, but on par with Hampton menu.

Just returned from 2 nights at this new DC boutique hotel. Location is perfect - just a block or so from the White House & close to a Metro station. Staff were SO friendly, helpful & welcoming, especially Joe & Alex. Room was average size, but more importantly, it had 2 queen beds while most other hotels in DC have 2 double beds. My kids share a bed when we travel & need the extra space between them... No view from room, but that was ok. Noise level was average for a city hotel. No noise from the inside of the hotel at least. Breakfast had a lot of variety - waffles, eggs, sausage, oatmeal, cold cereal, bagels, muffins, pastries, yogurt, coffee & juice. Katrina was the staff member in charge of breakfast and she was sweet & friendly both mornings. There was plenty of seating in the lobby area for everyone at breakfast time. The lower level of the hotel had an underused fitness center with one elliptical, one bike and 2 treadmills. There were free weights & a multi-use pulley machine. Everything was brand new & there were personal tv's on the cardio equipment. There was also an indoor pool on the lower level, but we didn't use it. All in all, it was a wonderful small hotel that met all of our needs - free breakfast, 2 queen beds for our family of 4, great location accessible to everything, and friendly staff. Would happily stay here again.

Room Tip: Rooms in the corners are more private & a little bigger.

Family of three with a small child. Two night stay. Brand new hotel in a great location, within a short walk to the White House and surrounds. That's where the good new ends. The room we were initially offered was tiny and faced the wall of the building next door across a laneway (more about the laneway later). No natural light at all and the room is not what they show you on the website. We asked for another room (like the one on the website) and ended up in a corner room facing the street in front of the hotel. Lots of natural light. However, we were now on the corner of a busy street and the laneway. Lots of traffic noise at night from the street and it is two doors down from a busy intersection. Garbage trucks and delivery trucks crash their way up the laneway in the wee hours of the morning. That explains the complimentary ear plugs on the side table. Some old office buildings shouldn't be converted into hotels.

Room Tip: The room choice is severely affected by the conversion from an old office building, the street, the...

The hotel appeared to have been upgraded or recently renovated. It was extremely well maintained. The staff was helpful, and the rooms were excellent. While I did have a problem with the TV/remote, the staff were quick to resolve it. It was corrected within 10 minutes of calling. A good location for business. I would recommend the hotel.

I cannot say enough about the staff. I've stayed in 5-star hotels, traveled all over the world, and can honestly say that I've not experienced sincere friendliness and accomodating natures as I did at this hotel. I would recommend if you are looking for 'location, location, location' that this is your hotel. You get the location along with the best staff ever. pwb

Just finished a two night stay at this hotel and was very happy with our stay. The staff was very friendly, the rooms clean, breakfast was delicious, and the hotel was nicely decorated. Excellent choice when staying in DC as the hotel is very close to a metro, dining, and historical sites.
