Khun sabai dee mai, krap?

A little, welcoming restaurant Located in the Park and Shop Mall in Cleveland Park and the best Thai food around. I've spent a lot of time inThailand and this food is as close as I've eaten in a long time to that in Bangkok and Northern Thailand.

The resturant is small but a place I bring friends to when they visit me in DC. TrY the Krapow Gai, spicy basil, chicken and chillies or the Thai shrimp cake deep fried served with sauce of red onion cucumber and crushed peanut, or Papaya salad. there is no "bar" per se but they do serve, liqour, wine and beer-try the cold "Chang" my favorite Thai beer.

If you live in the area or visiting, staying at a nearby hotel Paragon Thai also delivers. If traveling from anywhere in the city, it's located right at The Metro Red Line, Cleveland Park station as you come up on the east entrance. There is also validated parking in the lot at the restaurant if you prefer to drive.

“Great food!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 17, 2013

This restaurant offers ambient lights with food tastes great. One of the best in town.
However, portions of each dish were little small as compared to other restaurant nearby.

Main entrance door can bring chilly air from outside which can break your warm mood.

“Thai food w/ heat!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 11, 2013

I like Thai food that is spicy, flavorful, and fresh. That pretty much describes the food at Paragon Thai.

It's a small, no-frills restaurant located in the Cleveland Park neighborhood conveniently located next to the metro. My favorite dishes are the Panang Chicken and Drunken Noodles (which packs some serious heat). Paragon's menu also has more tame, less spicy fare like chicken with cashews and chicken w/ pineapple, and of course Pad Thai!

Service is good, and prices are reasonable. I highly recommend Paragon Thai.

“A lovely treat, authentic thai”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 29, 2012

My family ate here by accident after failing to make reservations at a very full nearby restaurant. What a wonderful find. The food was excellent authentic thai. The spring rolls were great and not greasy. My husband loved the drunken noodles. I had the chicken pineapple dish that was served in half a pineapple. The location is informal tables in a strip mall. It was our most affordable dinner out in Washington DC and one of our favorites.
