Pros: Fun vibe. Indoor seating and outdoor seating. Great french sweets. Good sandwiches. Recommended: Almond croissant is highly recommended.

Cons: Slightly pricey (but everyone in georgetown is). Extremely crowded at meal times with little place to sit. They give you water for free if you dine in, but you have to ask for it a lot. Slow service for foods that need to be prepared.

Summary: Go here for a quick treat to go or for a sandwich when it isn't the lunchtime rush.

We ordered a quiche, even pointing at the one we wanted behind the glass counter, and got an omelet delivered 15 minutes later. We ordered a doughnut with chocolate filling and got a doughnut with raspberry filling. They literally got half of our order incorrect. Haven eaten at a number of French bakeries domestically and in France, I was disappointed in how average their croissant dough was. Worse, the chocolate inside the doughnut tasted like Nutella. This won't be a place we'll go to again.

In DC! A couple of them.intense excitement. Yes, it's all wonderful for the carbohydrate obsessed, but it's still a chain albeit a delicious small one. So, as much as I like it, my heart is still with Patisserie Pouponn in Georgetown. Delicious, small, local.

We stumbled across this little gem whilst waiting for the city trolley tour to arrive (stop 18). It is so authentic French that the till is even in French. And the person taking our order (who had only just started) was struggling a bit. All that said, this place has great eggs, pastries, pre made rolls (did I mention pastries?) and above all else good espresso coffee. It has a very comfy upstairs eating space. If you are in the area, take a moment to find it. You won't be disappointed.

French bakery and then some. Be prepared to wait but it is well worth it. Bakery items were delicious. I had a quiche that was so rich and flovorful, I didn't want to take the last bite! Friendly staff, great coffee too.
