Owner description: The U Street Corridor is home to some of DC's iconic foods. Ben's Chili Bowl, home of the half-smoke, is there plus an area referred to by some as "Little Ethiopia" due to the large number of Ethiopian restaurants.

I lived here for 3-4 years and left when we became the only residential building on our block. For those interested in urban evolution, it is interesting to see how it has evolved into a commercial district.

I like the place and the hot-dogs as well, very good place to be in U street and if you want to feel the local flavour of the neighboorhood

Everyone must go to Ben's Chili Bowl once while visiting DC. It's an institution. See a show at the Lincoln Theatre next door to Ben's. It's a beautiful and historic space. Lots of good Ethiopian restaurants in the area as well.

Lots of construction in the area, but don't miss Ben's Chili Bowl!
