Location: a very pretty neighborhood 2 blocks from the Capitol with public transportation and plenty of good restaurants close by.
Breakfast: Celia offered a wonderful fresh mixed berry/fruit salad, local bakery bread for toast, wide selection of cereals and juices, delicious coffee, Washington Post or NY Times papers, plus delightful conversation as you wish -- in a sunny dining room. There is joyful art wherever you look -- a wonderful way to start the day!
Room: Clean, with a very comfortable bed, TV, stacked washer/dryer in closet. It adjoins a bright sitting room with more fascinating art and a great selection of books -- the perfect setting to ponder all the monuments and museums you have visited during the day.
Hospitality: Celia is a welcoming, delightful, easy going and fascinating hostess! I had many great conversations with her (one of her gorgeous cats joined us occasionally) and learned about lesser known DC history and areas to explore.More
