The Spy Museum was a very interesting with a dedication to Ian Fleming's 007. The double agents and the spies among us. It made me become more curious about how many have compromised the USA. And some with extraordinary arrogance that eventually trips them up ... and they worked within our own system. Yikes!

Thank you for choosing to visit the International Spy Museum and provide feedback regarding your visit!
One of my favorite areas of the museum is a video called "Cat and Mouse," which has an interview with two of the women who caught the infamous (and villainous) Aldrich Ames. It is amazing to hear their story of how they hunted down this double agent. As you said, it makes you only wonder how the agents in this field are ever able to trust anyone!
Thanks again for spying on us!

Spent the entire afternoon at the Spy Museum and had a blast. If you have any interest what-so-ever in this sort of covert lifestyle, this is well worth the time and money. There are all kinds of spy related artifacts on display like small covert cameras, listening devices, cipher machines, microdots, and even photos taken from carrier pigeons during WWII.
All throughout the museum, there are interactive stations for the entire family to get involved with. They have listening surveillance stations, enigma translators, and threat identification programs for everyone to get involved with.
Operation Spy is as interactive as you can get. We embarked on a “mission” that required us to use actual video and audio surveillance devices to capture a spy. I would advise anyone taking on this mission to pay attention and let yourself get caught up in the storyline. At the end, your group will be graded on your performance, so pay attention.
I am not a James Bond aficionado, having only seen a handful of the movies, but for those that say the museum is all about James Bond, I would have to disagree. I think the museum did a great job relating what “mainstream America” would perceive a spy to be, with the real world agents. Throughout the Bond exhibit, there are displays that relate scenes and gadgets from the movies to actual devices, agents and evil scenarios. There is also a video presentation near the end where actual agents discuss their own real life “bond moments” from their careers.

WOW! You really had an espionage-filled day at our museum and it's great to see that you enjoyed every minute of it! Between saving the country of Khandar in Operation Spy and learning about the real world of espionage in the museum, you can't help but lose yourself in the intriguing world of spies!

Had a wonderful time crawling through air ducts checking out all the great James Bond memorabilia, spying through the centuries. Great history artifacts and fun facts. Loved the option to 'pick' your cover.

Visited DC during the shutdown so tourist attractions were limited. Alas this museum was fab and well worth the entry fee. So many interactive displays. We could have spent longer than the three hours there. There was a big exhibit about Bond which was my least favourite thing as I don't like bond films but my friend loved that bit so there really is something for everyone!
I know some people won't want to spend money when there are so many free museums but I highly recommend this

Even though the Government is shut down, we are still open because we are a privately funded museum. We're glad that you were able to enjoy your time in DC with a visit to our espionage-filled museum. It's good to see that everyone in your party was able to find something intriguing about our exhibits.

We're happy to hear that you not only enjoyed learning about spies, but also becoming one as well! I'm sure your spy skills are better than you think!
We're glad you were able to visit us here in DC during the Government shutdown. As we are a private museum, we are unaffected by it and are still open for regular business hours.
Thanks again for choosing to spy on us!
